Specialising in multilingual digital fonts, Arphic developed iFont®, color, personalized and dynamic fonts, as well as font technologies such as their “Mobile Font® and Layout Engine®” engines for handling even the most complex of multilingual fonts, such as India, Thai, Arabic, etc., with minimal embedded hardware requirements.

Arphic will also demonstrate FancyPants with Arphic fonts on the new Compal JAX10 Mobile Internet Device, featuring the Intel Atom processor. These are initial outcomes of FST's and Arphic's joint research, development and marketing alliance under a Memorandum Of Understanding signed and announced June 25, 2008. The alliance benefits OEM/ODMs and end-users of consumer, commercial, industrial and medical devices, enabling eye-catching graphics and (optional) multimedia capabilities, intuitive multilingual interfaces, Ruthlessly Efficient™ hardware resource utilisation, reduced device costs, speed to market and portability.
